Convinced that we had solved the Bronnie issue in the kitchen, I cooked some food in the middle of the night and had a long Skype chat with Mr. Bubbles (since we are apart on LDR, AGAIN!), when I kept hearing a biting noise, shuffling, some more shuffling and a tiny sneezing sound from somewhere in the kitchen *so cute*. I couldn't see anything and didn't really hear anything anymore after a while and I figured that in case Bronnie was actually back, she wouldn't pop by anyway, since I was in the kitchen. After long hours of chatting, I went to bed and slept soundly.
The next day I woke up to my parents surprised Ahhhh's and Ohhhh's. After a good 30 mins of aahhhhh's and oooohhhhhhh's, I asked what was up and it turns out, there was a fresh hole in the same cupboard, just several cm's further up. HAHAHAHAHA! What a smart one, that Bronnie girl.
Since day one really, Bronnie has been hiding underneath the fridge and so eventually we kept hearing her shuffles underneath the fridge. Since I mostly keep track of the Bronnie-progress around the house, I kneel on the floor every now to check what's up ... and guess what(!), recently considerable amounts of trash have been piling up below the fridge, which means BRONNIE IS GETTING HERSELF COMFI to have little BRON BRON'S!!!
I find this very cute ... my (VERY EVIL) parents don't seem to think so at all. They called the pest control guys again. I was this close to striking a deal with dad to not call those guys and instead buy a cage and get her to pop in and well take her outside, but those cages don't seem to be available anywhere!!!.
Yesterday, while food was on the stove, happily boiling away, mom and I sat on the couch in the living room, when we heard crackling sounds. As if someone was short-circuiting stuff? We didn't really think much of it and ignored it until our alarm went off and we had to get up to take a good look at the food. I opened the door and there was smoke everywhere! I ran to the food, but everything seemed well at that end. I went to get something from the fridge and I realized that there was smoke around the fridge.
... Little Bronnie must have short circuited herself or her nest? Who knows. It smelt of burnt hair for the longest time!
