These days, nothing much is happening and I'm so over travelling at this point. Everytime we settle somewhere, we have to repack everything all over again and be places and go places, but oh well. I think I am so over travelling anyway. Whatever. Today we are going to Washington D.C. The capitol of the mightiest country around. Excited? Hmm yes, maybe a little. I am NOT looking forward to the trainride and the shaking. I think it's so hilarious how I travel around in freaking airplanes twice around the world and back, but when I sit in a train or bus, I get motion sick? Yes yes. Quite bizarre.
7 hours in the quiet sector of the train. My bums aching, my stomach is all gooey and I just want to lie in a normal bed. The train station was very impressive. When we reached initially, we were underground and so we took the escalator up and figured our way out of this massive building. We walked here and walked there and really didn't want to believe that we had to queue up in this humungous queue, just to get a taxi back home.
The wait was not at all painful. We had a beautiful view, it was dark and we looked straight ahead onto the US Capitol that "waited" at that horizon, illuminated and peaceful. I must admit that I assumed that the White House was actually right next to it, so I was all the more impressed. But that wasn't really the case, but oh well. I enjoyed my moment there anyway.
We reached the hotel dumped our stuff and made our way to the very scary and very deserted Metro station, headed towards Chinatown once again. Obviously, I wasn't kidnapped that night, eventhough we walked past the scary, cop loaded 7/11 right being our hotel. *phew* Good night
