Blank blog post page ... blank face and a refreshingly blank mind.
I came home and crashed on my couch. So very tired from a very long day. I attempted to watch some Kyle XY and fell asleep half way through. I eventually pulled myself off the couch and made some dinner. Boxed, ready-made Paneer Masala. Too oily as always. I don't actually know why I still buy this stuff. I gulped in down with some Old El Paso Burrito sheets (that I lovingly call Pseudo-Naan") and flopped back onto my sofa, appreciating the little warm area I had created previously on the otherwise cold couch.
Often, the reality that I don't have a TV and therefore no remote that I can delegate with from afar (a.k.a my sofa) hits me hard, especially on nights like these. I realize that I can't actually watch anything, unless I get up, walk over to the computer, decide on what to watch, press play and turn the screen towards the sofa. So on this night. I chose a random German movie ("Ein Sommer in Long-Island" transl.: "A Summer in Long-Island"). It turned out to be a tragic and highly dramatic movie, but I guess that's right up my alley. They list of soundtracks was full of Van Morrison tracks, which let my passion for Van Morrison music flare up in my little heart.
Back to my initial point, blank face and a refreshingly blank mind, typing on this no longer blank blog post page. I can feel the keys under my fingers, while I am allowing my mind to soak up Van Morrison tunes and finish this post with a not so blank mind anymore.
I've been searching a long time
For someone exactly like you
I've been travelling all around the world
Waiting for you to come through.
Someone like you makes it
All worth while
Someone like you keeps
Me satisfied. Someone exactly
Like you.
I've been travellin' a hard road
Lookin' for someone exactly like you
I've been carryin' my heavy load
Waiting for the light to come
Shining through.
Someone like you makes it
All worth while
Someone like you keeps
Me satisfied. Someone exactly
Like you.
I've been doin' some soul searching
To find out where you're at
I've been up and down the highway
In all kinds of foreign lands
Someone like you... etc.
I've been all around the world
Marching to the beat of a different
Drum.
But just lately I have
Realized
The best is yet to come.
P.S.: Just ignore the video clip. This was one of the few that didn't have a disabled embedding feature.
