*sigh* MOMs - or at least my mom is THE best mother on this planet. She is the best medicine ever. Everything she says is true and everything she say does me good and everything she says is helpful and I trust her with all my heart and soul. It's funny like that. I LOVE MY MOM (and Dad too, *haha*).
So I felt really depressed since I was so -s- and she was being super sweet and gave me all this advice, which btw when other people give me the same advice, it's like they never gave me advice at all, but when MOM gives the advice, then it's as if I've heard it for the first time and ... oh well. I just totally trust anything she says (she could totally take advantage of me and I would be too gullible to realize ^^*).
Anyhow, my world was falling apart. Literally. I could see rock-bottom already (and my exam is on Monday). bla bla bla ... .
I went for a massage today to do some SERIOUS relaxing and wow was it good. I went for the Aryuvedic kind - not the Swedish sort where it feels like a fly as landed on your skin, but the proper kind. They press the right points and really get in the right places. Before coming to Australia, this was the only kind I was used to - since that's what you usually get in India and so when I came here and got my first Swedish massage I was super douper disappointed. So for the longest time I was searching for the Aryuvedic kind and I've finally found a cheapish one. It's a student clinic, so all the massages are $45 bucks onlyyyy for 90 minutes!! Ok I guess they save costs by sticking about 8 people in one room and then have curtains inbetween every bench. This got a bit annoying when I had to listen to my neighbors pains and aches, but she shut up after a while and it was HEAVEN.
You do an initial consultation beforehand to see if you have any health problems or tell them about any if you've got any i.e: bloodpressure, look at your eyes closely and tongue and nails and ask you about your bowel movement (YES! people don't realize how important it is. I'm always surprised how ignorant some people are). Apparently there's a high chance that I'm low on iron - which isn't surprising with my lack of meat and my liver isn't at its best - which I did find SUPER surprising, considering I don't really drink or eat excessive amounts of fatty foods. Although they said this wasn't a diagnosis, I am kinda worried. I want my body to be fit and healthy. Sooo I have decided I shall go on a detox after exams. A 10-day liver detox *yuhuuuck*. Ooo. Maybe I'll make it into a blog thing, like Mr. Shopaholic-detox haha *not looking at Jason*!
So yea, that's that. Hmm what else. Oh yes, I've booked myself in for another massage next Friday. *ha!* It's quite funny I felt super dizzy after this massage. She must have really pressed the right points. I just had blood rushing everywhere. I went to eat something afterwards and I felt sick. The whole evening I felt relaxed but somehow not too well. All my muscles ache. Especially my right wrist - thank you computer mouse! I guess, that's why they say you should do this 3 days in a row or even 7 days in a row. Day 1 is always the worst because all toxins that have been sitting in your body would be released into your bloodstream.
Anyhow, I came into the clinic and OMG! The smell of Aryuvedic oils makes me feel at home instantly. It's so soothing. I just love it. Even the smell makes me want to go back instantly and make me miss India. I can't wait for next Fridayyy. And OBVIOUSLY the Friday after...!
