About Me

My photo
I am in my 20's and a passionate student, majoring in Psychology. I was born and brought up in Germany, moved around about 4923 times and recently moved in with my lovely boyfriend Mr. Bubbles (no that is not his actual petname), who affectionately shares the space in my green Bubble.

I am a raging, almost melodramatic observant, who picks up on body language and gestures like no other. I love to spending my days out and about and observe anything that comes my way, just so I can report it to whoever is around me.

The fun is in the detail

This is exciting!

I feel so much happier with this new color scheme. I would prefer lavender, but whatever, I can't change it. Unfortunately, for now, I have to stick with errr ... pink? However, this color changes makes me excited to write about things again. Ha! The power of color.

Speaking of which, I love color. Color rules my life these days. Why do people always wear black? Because it looks cool? How boring seriously. Life is SERIOUS enough to waste time, wearing black!

There's an entire anatomy/process involved so we (humans) can perceive color, and it such an important and meaningful way of expression, too. I mean you even get people who have the grapheme-color synaesthesia (people who when they think of letters or hear a letter/a word, will involuntarily and simultaneously produce a certain color) for crying out loud! COLOR plays an important role in their lives right, so why not in most of our lives? Why do we take such a beautiful thing for granted? Why do people not dress in color?

This thing with color started once upon a time (a week ago...), when I had this urge to paint my nails, not in the usual red or pale thingamagic, but in a fancy color. (Not thinking of his colorblindness) I asked my friend what color to pick from the following: yellow, pale green, striking powedery, very opaque blue or yes, bright red. And he chose BLUE!

I hated it! But I decided that I had bought this blue ages ago and only ever worn it once and told myself that I had to keep it on for at least 48 hrs. I kept complaining about the color to Jaa-mes, but he had faith in my attitude and reckoned that I would eventually cave in an like it.

48 hrs later ... I still hated the fact that my nails were blue and all of a sudden I noticed how my nail color would blend in with random lables on random things and I couldn't help but point it out to Jaa-mes (poor boy)! BUT, it was enjoyable. Loved the experience of wearing color.

Current nailpolish color: pale green

So, if you see me these days, don't think I'm crazy for I'm wearing color, instead appreciate the fact that I am using what's already there and having fun with it.

Keep in mind, the fun is in the detail!
