About Me

My photo
I am in my 20's and a passionate student, majoring in Psychology. I was born and brought up in Germany, moved around about 4923 times and recently moved in with my lovely boyfriend Mr. Bubbles (no that is not his actual petname), who affectionately shares the space in my green Bubble.

I am a raging, almost melodramatic observant, who picks up on body language and gestures like no other. I love to spending my days out and about and observe anything that comes my way, just so I can report it to whoever is around me.

The grass is ... on the other side

I am in the process of learning the most important lesson ever right now. For the past 9 years of my life of being stuck between counties, cultures and languages I complained about whatever country I was in, because another one was better. The people were friendlier, the food was healthier and the weather was more enjoyable in another country and when I was in the other country, I complained about the country I was in currently, which I had believed to be "the better one" at some point. As difficult as this is for me to see, every culture has its up's and down's, every country has its pro's and con's.

Much to my personal destruction, this realization has burst my bubble. In actual fact, the grass is equally green / brown and dry on either side.

This is particularily frustrating, because I am once again stuck between 2 countries and don't have a third country that I'd rather be in and people I'd rather be with. So I am faced with the same grass condition in either country and have no alternative to escape to, at least in my mind. Maybe I am being taught a second lesson: enjoy the moment and make the best of the time you have at hand?
