I am in my 20's and a passionate student, majoring in Psychology. I was born and brought up in Germany, moved around about 4923 times and recently moved in with my lovely boyfriend Mr. Bubbles (no that is not his actual petname), who affectionately shares the space in my green Bubble.

I am a raging, almost melodramatic observant, who picks up on body language and gestures like no other. I love to spending my days out and about and observe anything that comes my way, just so I can report it to whoever is around me.

The paradox of choice

Ever felt lost in the myriad of tables to choose from in an empty restaurant? As soon as you choose one, you find another that might possibly be better so you shift. You then spot a third, because your current one turned out to have uncomfortable chairs. You shift a fourth and a fifth time and eventually just wished that the restaurant was fully packed with only one table available for you to choose and be happy with. If this scenario doesn't sound too unfamiliar, you are a victim of the paradox of choice and what I believe to be the root of the sharp increase in anxiety in people. Too little choice and too much choice are both detrimental to our welfare.
