Happy Anniversary, Baby!
On Thursday, we both took the day off and did exactly what we wanted, when and how and where. We went for a long drive along the beach and eventually hit this little cafe. Unfortunately, they didn't have many veggie options, the place was incredibly IN the sun and the cream of mushroom soup I decided to go for made me really sick for the rest of the day, but why let that spoil our day, right?
On our way back we drove to our favourite spot on the beach, got the blankets out and slept there for a while. It's just so so relaxing. It's beautiful. You can hear the waves in the background and the birds in the trees and everynow and the faint sounds of cars and people. It's just perfect! Eventually we just went home, had some dinner, watched a movie and slept.
YESTERDAY, we continued our little anniversary celebrations, because why would you only celebrate for ONE day when you can celebrate for TWO days ^^*. No actually, Mr. Bubbles had to work on the Friday morning, so we wouldn't have been able to stay out late, which is why we moved it to Friday.
T'was great. We went to this little German Bistro in one of the suburbs. Tiny and cozy. T
hey had a degustation menu, but no surprisingly, Germans love their meat and hence there were no vegetarian options!!! That's so upsetting. Every good restaurant over here anyway has vegetarian options. Oh well. So I ended up eating something else with a sauce that had truffles in them.Hmm truffles, huh. They taste really interesting for the first 10 bites and after a while, that's all you can taste? *sigh* That was a bit unfortunate, but the food was good and Mr. Bubbles enjoyed his too. To top things off, I found a bag of Haribo - Colorado mix [I remember Mom and I fighting for our favourites. And then there was Dad. Unfortunately, I liked the same one's as Dad did, but then he would be at work and only get what I hadn't eaten during the day *muhahaha* Tough being a dad ^^*] in their little shop right next to the restaurant!!! I obviously couldn't walk past that. *yumyum*.
Finally, we went
to a little bar somewhere, which made me/us feel old, because we didn't exactly dress as hipsters. Quite frankly, I am NOT supporting the hipster movement at all, but since everyone does it [... the mainstream is uncool, but if everyone does it is it then not mainstream?] we felt a bit old and not "fashionable".Funny though, I must quickly go off on a tangent, I have never ever followed any contemporary fashion, ever! I somehow never like the contemporary fashion and then once it's over [...and everything is on sale *muhahaha*] I start liking it and incorporating it into my wardrobeskies. It's quite funny like that. So yea. You can expect me to walk around in hipster clothes after the movement has died down a bit ^^*.
Anyhow, coming back to my anniversary-talk, I loved every minute of it, I couldn't have asked for a better anniversary. We did EXACTLY what we wanted to do, when we wanted to do, how and where we wanted to do it and it was great.
Thank you, Mr. Bubbles for being my lover and my best friend. I am so so glad that we are in each others bubbles.
