At times I encounter situations where I would like to express myself, but feel that my language knowledge seems insufficient. Eventually, I come across a quote or someone else who has the ability to bundle my feelings quite neatly. Everytime I encounter someone who manages to express, just as I had aspired, I think back and quietly re-live my moment/the situation, but as a richer person. It may be the feeling recognition of my own thoughts in someone elses work, which makes me feel at peace with the situation. Although the re-experience of the situtation is often not the most comfortable thing, it always ends with a smile, because deep within I know that I have gained understanding and added a tiny piece to my unfinished puzzle of tolerance.
Why am I worrying about this now during exam time? Weeellll yes I have been indulging in my "procrastination-Heroes-Season3" sessions and I came across a moment similar to the one I just described. This is the quote that put order to my thoughts and enabled me to relive my moment.
"There is good and there is evil, right and wrong, heroes and villains and if we're blessed with wisdom, then there are glimpses between the cracks of each where light streams through.
We wait in silence for these times, when sense can be made, when meaningless existence comes into focus and our purpose presents itself.
And if we have the strength to be honest then what we find there staring back at us, is our own reflection, baring witnessed the duality of life and each one of us is capable of both the dark and the light, the good and evil, of either of or.
And destiny while marching ever in our direction, can be rerooted by the choices we make, by the love we hold on to, and the promises we keep."

Last night, my flatmates and me were happily tucked away in our little studying corners, when I heard 2 soft thud noises. I didn't really bother, because I was highly involved in a phone conversation and when Jeanne and me spoke about it later, she hadn't actually paid too much attention to it either, until this morning. Apparently, when she went for work, she opened the gate and 2 lemons lay scattered in front of our garage door. Usually, I have a wacked out idea of why someone may have done something weird, i.e.: the random plant = voodoo, but this time I just can't think of anything, except that after every random event that happens in our suburb, I know it's going to be the last one and everytime I am proven wrong again. I suppose the only thing I can pretty much do now is pull out my list of awesome suburb-y things and add this one to it :). Some people have randoms breaking into their house and repeatedly stealing things and we just have awesome suburb-y things happening, which I personally prefer really. Plus the extra "weirdness" in my day makes my life a little more interesting :).
The List:
- Car blows up down the road
- Man dies in the burning house down the road
- Marathon right outside our house
- Powercut/no water and a tiny tornado
- Random men dressed as knights fighting in the middle of the road
- Girl with probably auditory hallucinations running around yelling at ... herself ?
- A fox running around
- Freaky person putting a plant in front of our main door
- Stochastic person throwing lemons at our garage door
