About Me

My photo
I am in my 20's and a passionate student, majoring in Psychology. I was born and brought up in Germany, moved around about 4923 times and recently moved in with my lovely boyfriend Mr. Bubbles (no that is not his actual petname), who affectionately shares the space in my green Bubble.

I am a raging, almost melodramatic observant, who picks up on body language and gestures like no other. I love to spending my days out and about and observe anything that comes my way, just so I can report it to whoever is around me.

Germany and the worldcup 2010. The story goes on!

Game 1: Germany vs. Australia --> 4:0
Game 2: Germany vs. Serbia --> 0:1
Game 3: Germany vs. Ghana --> 1:0

In summary:
Game 1 was awesome. We played lovely and super strategic, Australia chucked out some utter crap. I watched, we won.

Game 2
was crap. We played ridiculously bad, Serbia made use of our weak soccer skills and I didn't watch the match because I was at work (where I tried to convince this grandma to switch her channel to soccer, just so I could watch the match, while I was putting her to bed).

Game 3 was crap again, but what's new? We usually just about scrape through to the next round in the group rounds. Speaking of deserving, we actually theoretically didn't deserve to win, because we actually theoretically/practically didn't play well, but we won and I don't mind that either. I guess the German team stayed true to tradition and played crap in the group rounds. Germany not going through to the next round would have just been a disaster.

Verdict?
I chose to watch the winning rounds of Germany vs. Australia and Germany vs. Ghana and didn't bother with the losing round of Germany vs. Serbia (which I obviously carefully planned, so it would turn out this way *hihi*).

How?
I went to the pub for game 1 and had a big drinking session along with it. Twas awesome! Not so much the next day (hangover), but very much awesome that night.

Game 2 ... well I was stuck at work so I kinda went to the pub afterwards, expecting to find my friends there, when in fact they had stood me up in the meantime, which I only really realized once I was almost there. So, I went anyway and stood there by myself as pretty much the only sane girl ... who didn't look like a whore (probably also because I just got off work thinking I smelt of poop) among this whole crowd of screaming, drunk Serbians. NOT desirable!

Game 3. I didn't feel like going out and sitting outside the whole night, so I attempted to watch the game online ... or sho..d ... say o ... lin ... (note: deliberate lack of sentence completion!). T'was not happening! The connection cut out everytime it got exciting. When Germany chucked the goal, we saw Oezil start running and heard post goal screams, but we didn't ACTUALLY see the goal. SOoooo I turned on laptop number 2 and let the "Live-ticker" run along simultaneously. This updated me on yellow cards missed, goals lost in translation and group discussions of people who were also multitasking and watching the game online. After a while there, I felt that the group discussions were the funniest thing about this whole thing. SO RANDOM, seriously!
