About Me

My photo
I am in my 20's and a passionate student, majoring in Psychology. I was born and brought up in Germany, moved around about 4923 times and recently moved in with my lovely boyfriend Mr. Bubbles (no that is not his actual petname), who affectionately shares the space in my green Bubble.

I am a raging, almost melodramatic observant, who picks up on body language and gestures like no other. I love to spending my days out and about and observe anything that comes my way, just so I can report it to whoever is around me.

Germany vs. Australia

"Girls just wanna have fun-un,
ohhh girls just wanna haaaveee
..."

Not always ... . Sometimes we also like to go pee together (TMI)... or get food together. In this case, we were on our way to the chips stand at the public viewing for the Germany vs. Australia game on Sunday night, when my friend ran over a 5 cent coin and kicked it along a little further (I actually thought she will pick it up eventually, but she never did !!! *shock*) and stepped on it. Once I passed it, I picked it up and habitually made my wish. I still believe that eventhough it is just 5 cents, it is still money and shouldn't just lie on the ground like that.

Pushing through the noisy crowds that were mostly composed of Australians and the occasional German here and there, we "rushed" to the stand and returned. My friend and I got ourselves a beer ... which was obviously paid for by a very optimistic and generous (or just plain horny) Australian man. He was SUPER SLEEZY, but whatever, free beer right? Please note that this occurred at 0:0 Germany vs. Australia.

A bunch of drunken Australian soccer fans in one bar with the Australian "Socceroos" playing and you can't hear your own words, even your own thoughts anymore. It is THAT floor-shakingly loud! One guy would get up and scream "AUSSI AUSSI AUSSI" and the rest of the crowd followed with a united "OI OI OI"! I just kept rolling my eyes and hoping they would be quiet and guess what ??? I didn't even have to wait that long *evil giggle*.

Goal 1 was chucked (1:0 - Germany vs Australia). It was still as loud, but faces looked slightly unsettled already. By goal 3 I attempted to get myself another beer, obviously hoping for some generous Australian paying for my beer, which was obviously impossible ... especially with that Germany scarf around my neck. Once goal 4 happened, the crowds were no longer optimistic and it was time for us Germans to do our share of yelling ... in a crowd of quiet Australians *triumph*. The occasional quiet "one goal please, ... just one goal!" was audible. Eventually, even that faded and no one dared to get up and even whisper "Aussi Aussi Aussi" anymore.

*Leans back* Ha! I guess the wish I made when I picked up that 5 cent coin came true.

Moral of the story: don't step on money, pick it up and make a wish!
