3 days, 2 nervous breakdowns a lack of sleep and lots of exams later, I am back, alive and kicking.
This morning was the ultimate. I did what I shouldn't usually do and study before the exam and yes, whatever I studied this morning was on the exam *YAY*.
Ok so, on my previous post, I said I would tell a story about an unfair occurrance? Here it goes. Please note that characters are non fictional; however, for the purpose of anonymity I have provided fictional names.
Abigail and Chloe. 2 friends. Happy to have found each other. Great hanging out. The new semester started and Chloe asked Abigail out a few times, but much to Chloe's surprise, Abigail was always busy for one reason or another.
Eventually, Chloe's birthday came up, for which she invited Abilgail and figured, this time she'd be able to make it. Chloe invited 50 other people and didn't really hear back from Abigail, which she found odd, but nonetheless didn't want to be pushy and just left it. Long story short, Abigail eventually cancelled, because she was incredibly busy with studies. This posed little of a problem to Chloe, because things can always come up.
A few days later, Chloe was painfully enlightened by the Facebook Newsfeed that Abigail in fact was planning a "club outing" on her incredibly "busy night". Chloe furiously got off the internet and decided to not care.
Much later ... about a week after the birthday party, Abigail emailed Chloe to check on how the party went, to which Chloe replied curtly and confronted her about the happenings. Abigail replied and said she had issues of her own and felt it wasn't appropriate to come to the party, since they never spoke anyway (... when Chloe asked her out numerous times). Furthermore, Abigail explained how she got mixed up with the birthday dates. Also, Abigail told Chloe to "look at the bigger picture" and "not chop people off so fast" and finally "look further than that".
Ok, Chloe invites Abigail for her birthday, Abigail doesn't want to come, Chloe is quite understandably annoyed. In addition, Chloe felt like Abigail lied to her, so she confronted Abigail, to which Abigail replied quite weirdly.
What "bigger picture" does Chloe need to look at, when all she did was invite someone to her own birthday party???
Abigail deleted Chloe off facebook (together with all the other friends, who were then re added except Chloe). Finally, Abigail severed all ties.
Why?
Because of a simple birthday invitation. Isnt' that punishment (for whatever) a bit too harsh???
