About Me

My photo
I am in my 20's and a passionate student, majoring in Psychology. I was born and brought up in Germany, moved around about 4923 times and recently moved in with my lovely boyfriend Mr. Bubbles (no that is not his actual petname), who affectionately shares the space in my green Bubble.

I am a raging, almost melodramatic observant, who picks up on body language and gestures like no other. I love to spending my days out and about and observe anything that comes my way, just so I can report it to whoever is around me.

Turtle encore: Anatomy

After I posted the youtube video where the tiny turtle decided to hump the shoe, I have had quite a few people ask me how thats possible and where the male "hump device" is hidden. This motivated me to do some research and write this short but sweet blogpost about the turtle anatomy.

Alright, this is the overall anatomy, which I don't even want to focus on, the important part is the "anus" bit, which is the last label there on the picture as well as the knowlege that turtles all have a tiny tail ... which unfortunately, was not included in this picture.

For females, the anus is closest to the beginning of the tail (so closest to their shell), whereas the male turtles have their opening closer towards the tip of the tail. And now comes the important part, the male turtle tail is much longer than the female tail, because they hide their "hump device" in the tail. This is very much as I had suspected before, the male tail has a "dual action" tail *hihi*.

Anyhow, for those who are interested, this is what a turtle penis looks like.

Oki. I shall let the turtles live their lovely turtle lives in peace and stop digging around.
