I feel heartbroken. I just came across this piece of news that declared Mick Hucknall's (lead singer of Simply Red) farewell tour. How can Simply Red stop making music? Seriously? I remember watching his music videos on VIVA and MTV and what other German music channels when I could barely stand and would dance to the music. His golden tooth that he had there among in his upper row of teeth and his red long bouncy full on curls simply amazed me. I was so little I didn't even know that it was possible to have a golden tooth ... . Probably why I was so taken by it.
I feel quite shocked. He was/is definitly one of my favourite artists. I hunted down some of his live acoustic performances on Youtube a couple of years ago and his voice is flawless. He must be in his 50's (? - let me check, born: 1960) and he still sounds just perfect.
I was hoping he would visit home as part of his farewell tour, but I doubt that's going to happen.
