The time came to move on. Our Amtrak train to Boston left at 11:10am. The trip was 4.5 hours long, during which nothing much happened, except, well train-y stuff. I ate heaps, slept heaps, was bored heaps.
People always complain that Amtrak is the worst train system ever in a first world country, but seriously? It's not that bad. The seats aren't unnaturally uncomfortable, the toilets are a bit funny, but it's not like I wanna spend my entire travel on the toilet. Food, crappy food, but food is available. FYI, by crappy food I am referring to a veggie burger that is so processed that one's body takes around 3 days and heaps of stomach aches to get rid of it. Plug points, good foot space and overhead space for the luggage. Staff is friendly and the train leaves on time.
Our hotel in Boston is very pretty, which fits in with the rest of Boston, from what I have seen so far. Old Victorian style, very high walls, large rooms, creaking floorboards and a funny old smell to the house.
Let's see what Boston has in store for us!
About Me
- The Girl
- I am in my 20's and a passionate student, majoring in Psychology. I was born and brought up in Germany, moved around about 4923 times and recently moved in with my lovely boyfriend Mr. Bubbles (no that is not his actual petname), who affectionately shares the space in my green Bubble.
I am a raging, almost melodramatic observant, who picks up on body language and gestures like no other. I love to spending my days out and about and observe anything that comes my way, just so I can report it to whoever is around me.
