Spoilt for choice and upon much recommendation TDH and I (yes, that's right. It was only us. The other couple who actually stayed with us had run off to the funky Chelsea Hotel in the meantime and the single guy wasn't all that single anymore and enjoyed that luxurious atmosphere of the Riz Carlton), enjoyed a lavish breakfast at Max Brenner, the chocolate factory. A sweetly decorated restaurant, with brown pipes stretched across the room, to create the illusion of chocolate free flow(when in fact it's just pipes that were painted brown). Multiple menus, filled with exotic chocolate dishes and dark sins. Yummy! I opted for an egg breakfast, with tiny crispy cubed fries, an omelette, a scone and a spicy hot chocolate to go with the breakfast.
After the outer body experience in the morning, we arrived at the National Museum of Natural History. Being surrounded by Dinosaurs and other skeletons for around 5 hours and 43 minutes (correct, I am exaggerating) can be highly exhausting. Hungry as ever, ready to eat an entire Dinosaur ourselves, we left the museum and started our food hunt once again.
We found this tiny little Thai place somewhere not far from Times Square. TDH and I got the best table in the house. Right in the window in this tiny corner. Very cute. I asked the waiter to make the food as spicy as he can, so I would cry. He served my meal with a smile and wished me best of luck and happy crying. I didn't end up crying, but the food was great nonetheless.
