About Me

My photo
I am in my 20's and a passionate student, majoring in Psychology. I was born and brought up in Germany, moved around about 4923 times and recently moved in with my lovely boyfriend Mr. Bubbles (no that is not his actual petname), who affectionately shares the space in my green Bubble.

I am a raging, almost melodramatic observant, who picks up on body language and gestures like no other. I love to spending my days out and about and observe anything that comes my way, just so I can report it to whoever is around me.

Day 11: Rude and fluffy

Phew! The Boston Hotel is "DA BOMB"! I slept so well *yay*. The breakfast is included and they supply hot drinks and snacks 24/7. Being gluttons that we have turned into, (and I believe, the only people ever doing that in the history of this hotel) we ran downstairs past midnight, to enjoy hot chocolates and massive amounts of tea, for free!!!

We planned around a bit in the morning and checked what we could do the next couple of days, but decided to take it rather slow today. We took a lovely stroll around Charles Street, through a cute park covered with thick fluffy cotton puffy snow down to a cobble stone lane, with old shops, where even Starbucks looked like it was established in 1847.

In the evening, we went to this rather posh wine bar, also on the cobble stone-y lane. We entered and were all happy to be in the warm. This guy - who actually reminded me of this friend of mine, appointed us to a table and gave us the menus. He looked very neat and snobbish. Hm! I guess one has to have an air about oneself, working in a place like that, right?

10 minutes had passed, and TDH was set on his wine, while I wasn't quite sure yet. (Give me a break there were 500 wines on this list, and all had such complicated names but no descriptions). The guy came back to the table and asked us in this very rude and expectant tone of voice whether we had any questions regarding "the menu", which I found ridiculous, because he made it seem like we were entirely clueless and had no right to even enter a restaurant like this. Fair enough, we were clueless, but is that such a terrible thing? He's the waiter, it's his job to recommend and be friendly!

He rudely recommended, rudely took my order, rudely ran off and sent someone else to take our cheese order. She wasn't any nicer than the other guy. If you don't want to be nice, that's cool, but can't you just be normal? I eventually saw him drive off in a taxi and he even gave me a freaky stare from inside the taxi. *tsk*. Behind us there were heaps of old (and probably rich) couples/people. They were all treated lovely.

Verdict: The wine was ok, the cheese was excellent, the bill was high and we were never to return again!
