Fresh, well-rested and in disagreement once again, the majority of the group wondered off to a Broadway theater and sat through the 2.5 hour musical called "Ragtime". I, very happily, decided to go shopping once again. One can never shop enough, right?
Determined to find the boots of my life, (black, just below my knees high, small heel) I started my shopping tour. I passed by cute souvenir stores and got a few tiny souvenirs, swerved by the M&M factory, pigged out on Starbucks hot chocolate with cream, couldn't resist the stationary store, scanned 100's of shoe shops, until I finally saw the last shoe shop that I was going to enter that day. I walked in and no boots in sight. I couldn't believe the amount of crap shoes shops sold. 90% of the boots and shoes had glued on soles or were abundantly made out of fake leather, but cost a solid $250.
Eventually, I hit the sale section found in every shoe store and there they were, enfolded in golden light, with a tiny something that can only remind of a halo, black patent and suede leather high heels. 'Wow', I thought. $40? My bargain of the day.
With only 15 blocks until Times Square, I took on the journey to meet TDH. Happy and satisfied as ever.
